The jadeite carving of white translucency suffused with green color and small amount of russet, depicting a boy barely holding onto the rein, trying to drag the horse up. The horse, laying slightly sideways next to a patch of Lingzhi, is resisting the boy. The original wood stand is carved intricately in openwork, with pine tree and stone patterns. 18th century.
