An exquisitely and delicately carved ivory pala relief panel, with a centrally seated Buddha and his attendant. The Buddha clad in a finely draped Sanghati, sit on a lotus pedestal beneath a canopy bearing mangos, flanked by a series of Buddha statues. The panel is gilt with cold applied gold, and the back bears a six character "XUANDE" mark. Ming Dynasty Period.
