This delicately carved ivory figural group consisting of a general and two soldiers practicing archery under a pine tree. The general, with long beard, is standing at the back, looking ahead towards the target. The first soldier, with bow string pulled and feet spread, is ready to shoot the arrow at the target. The second soldier, behind the first soldier, has bow on ground, and is learning archery from the first soldier. All soldiers and general were fully armored, with clothes over the armor. Behind them, stand a tall pine tree, with many clusters of pine leaves and intertwining branches.
