This rare and large carved lacquer screen consists of a round circular carved screen sitting atop of a similarly constructed lacquer base. The diameter of circular screen is 41 inches (104 cm), and depicts a scene of well worshipping from the various Deities. The back of the screen was delicately incised with seven lotus flowers and banana leaves. The base is consisted of two separate sections. The front of the upper section was delicately carved with a pair of five clawed dragons pursuing a sacred pearl, while the back is carved with the patterns of cloud formations. The lower section of the stand is carved in the form of a rectangular plinth resting on four legs. Qing Dynasty period.
