Of bulbous form with rounded sides rising from base to broad shoulders, the body brightly decorated with yellow enamel on iron red ground, depicting two five clawed sinuous dragons travelling through auspicious clouds chasing flaming pearl, all between pendant ruyi heads and upright lappets, the base with six character Jiajing mark. Ming Dynasty Jiajing period.

此罐圓口，短頸，圈足。外壁红釉作地，黑彩勾繪輪廓。肩飾如意雲紋，腹飾黄彩游龍靈芝紋，紋飾空處填紅釉為地。內部、圈足內施透明釉，外底青花書「大明嘉靖年制」楷書款。 紅地黃彩器為明代嘉靖朝特有品種，需先以1300攝氏溫度燒好白瓷，再於外壁釉上施以黃彩以較低的溫度入窯復燒，再以黑彩點睛、描繪輪廓，並以礬紅彩塗地，然後第三次入窯燒造。因過程繁複，難度極高，故傳世品數量稀少。
