The group consists of a Han-style white jade carved cicada, modelled in the form of a stylised cicada with incised details, the softly polished stone of an even white tone; a grayish white jade carving of boy, the boy is shown with one hand holding the book the Analects by Confucius, his left hand against his forehead, the face with joyful expression, the stone is of opaque white tone with grey veins and inclusions; and a white jade finger citron carving, finely carved as finger citron-fruit with naturalistically curling tips borne on a gnarled and leafy stem, the stone is of even white tone with russet veins. Qing Dynasty period.
