The rectangular columnar seal is surmounted by a recumbent mythical beast poised on muscular haunches, highly detailed with incised mane and curved horns, with a signature and date incised on one vertical side. The seal face is carved with a six-character poetic inscription. The stone of an attractive warm golden honey tone. Mid-Qing Dynasty period.
