The necklace is composed of one hundred and eight agar beads of dark tone wrapped with cloth, spaced with three mottled white and green jadeite 'Buddha head' beads, and a two-part double-gourd pierced jadeite bead (fotouta), a similarly carved flat oblong jadeite plaque suspending a green jadeite drop pierced with dragons, and three strings of lapis lazuli beads suspending similar gilt-metal-mounted coral drops.
