Shown seated in dhyanasana on a three-tier lotus stand, the hands joined in dhyanamudra on the lap holding a bowl, the sanghati open at the chest, the head with downcast eyes and gentle smile, all below tightly curled hair around the ushnisha, all fitted on a separately made, delicately carved zitan double lotus pedestal. Qing Dynasty period.

玉佛像自古即為至寶，宋代釋志盤《佛祖統紀》卷三十六記載“義熙二年，師子國獻玉佛像，高四尺二寸。”元代程巨夫《雪樓集》卷八載畏兀兒貴族大乘都入京朝見，元世祖“親賜侍宴衣冠，貂裘帽、金帶、銀器、玉佛像、銀鈔等前後相望，恩顧良勤。此件清代玉雕無量壽佛，質地粹美，雕工爐火純青，佛陀肉髻高聳，面相慈悲莊重，身著佛衣，雙手握缽，做禪定印，結跏趺坐於蓮花坐之上，姿態端整。佛陀寶相莊嚴，美玉寶光照人，可謂相得益彰。無量壽佛又稱長壽佛，是阿彌陀佛的報身像，其本意是意根清凈，意根清凈所起的智慧即妙觀察智。此器雕刻用料珍貴，雕琢精湛，刀工超凡，將佛家法相全盤雕出，為難得的佛教藝術精品。 可參考紐約佳士得2010年3月白玉佛坐像，拍品號1104，成交價USD 2,322,500
