The rounded sides rising from a straight foot, exquisitely painted in iron red with five-clawed dragons dancing among emerging from auspicious clouds in blue enamel, the interior similarly decorated with an iron-red dragon writhing above auspicious clouds chasing flaming pearl within a double-blue line border, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character KANGXI mark within double circles. Accompanied a Japanese wood box. Qing Dynasty Kangxi period.
