A YAOZHOU CELADON 'FLOWERS' TRIPOD CENSER    明早期 耀州窯刻花三足爐

In an archaic bronze “ding” form, this piece has a round body and a straight and tall neck, which is slightly overhung by a broad rim. Two circular upright handles rest upon the shoulder. The three animal-like foot are surmounted by monster masks. The censor is covered overall with a lustrous olive-green glaze, except for the bases of the foot, which are unglazed. Early Ming Dynasty period.

香爐圓口, 平沿, 高頸, 口沿與肩部貼雙附耳, 扁圓腹, 肩部有一圈凸稜. 深壁, 平底, 下承三獸足, 底足露胎, 呈火石紅色. 胎厚釉濃, 造型端正, 通體罩施粉青釉, 釉色厚润青翠, 質洁細膩, 頸下流汁積垂. 頸部飾蓮瓣紋, 肩部飾一圏鼓釘, 腹部飾纏枝牡丹花紋, 與環底飾蓮瓣紋, 中間以雙弦線紋相隔. 該器胎釉結合緊密, 刻绘紋飾嫻熟流暢, 采用了斜刀手法以增強紋飾的立體感。整體造型豐滿渾厚, 穩重大方, 是不可多得的龍泉窯珍品。
