A PAIR OF CLOISONNE ENAMEL VASES    清乾隆 銅鎏金掐絲琺琅花瓶一對

Of baluster form, each vase is finely moulded with a gilt bronze-edged quarterfoil cartouches, depicting a scene of two colorful parrots on prunus branch with blossoming flowers, reserved on repetitive quarterfoil groud; the reverse with a similar scene of parrot sitting upon rocky outcrop. The body mounted on each side with gilt bronze buddhist lion mask, all reserved against turquoise ground. The neck encircled with a band of ruyi and lappets motif in relief, flanked by two stylized chilong neck. The circular foot decorated with a band of trianglar shape motif. The bottom bears four character 'QIAN LONG' mark. Qing Dynasty period.


此銅掐絲琺瑯花瓶,圈足內刻乾隆年製底款,包漿古樸,做工精細,通體施天藍色琺瑯釉為地,飾彩色纏枝紋,腹部兩面開光,內會花鳥紋,寓意吉祥,兩側雙獅耳鎏金,形態栩栩如生,工藝水平極為精巧。本器體形碩大,氣勢恢宏,胎體厚重,為琺瑯器中之精品,為典型清代掐絲琺瑯。 來源:內華達美籍日裔藏家M.Hasegawa.
