The well-potted bowl has slightly flaring rims, with scrolling Chinese characters on top, above five paneled dragons flying amidst clouds in grand design, supported on high foot ring, bottom bears four character "Chen Jinhou". The bowl was possibly used in Imperial Court. Chen Jinhou, active during Qing Dynasty period, specializes in making clayware bowls and plates, and was famous for elegant design and delicate structure in his Yixing stoneware.

撇口碗式，此碗胎質勻稱細膩，胎器規整精緻，顯有盛清氣派，高圈足，飾有五團雲龍紋，氣勢非凡。此碗製作一絲不苟，應為朝廷供奉之器。陳覲侯，清乾隆時期宜興紫砂高手，生卒不詳，製壺亦精製碗，盤等，所製作的器具精細工整，造型優美，多受褒獎。
