WAN QUAN: A YIXING "POEM" TEAPOT WITH COVER    清中期 萬泉製 磚方壺

Of rectangular form, the teapot’s handle, finial, and spout also in rectangular design, the body incised with colophon by "Zi Qia", against yellowish-brown stone color. Two character ‘Wanquan" mark beneath the lid. Jiang Delin, courtesy name Wan Quan, was active during Qing Jiaqing and Daoguang period. He was a master potter, mostly makes teapots of plain deign, with patinated surface. Mid Qing Dynasty period.


此壺蓋內有萬泉小印,壺作扁方式,穩重挺拔,剛直有勁,壺蓋密合,方流,方扳,方蓋,方鈕,整體線條蒼勁流暢,工藝精純,壺身鎸刻有在座中有佳士,冰心一片清,子冾。蔣德林,字萬泉,生卒不詳,嘉慶、道光年間人,宜興製壺高手,所製砂壺多光素器,色澤光潤,形製素雅,聞名一時。
