"Of rectangular form, the vertical plaque with a large gilt character 'Shou' in the center, cranes flying amidst clouds, the border with alternating peony flower and triangular patterns. The plaque with Empress Dowager Cixi's signature and seal, with date on bottom left. Due to the loss of of original gold dust, the collector has re-applied gold dust on top of the 'Shou' character in 1982.

所用木料考究（很重），原裝掛鉤，描金仙鶴，完整，並刻有慈禧皇太后禦筆之寶，落款為光緒二十年十月十五日。此壽字運筆流暢自如，大方莊嚴，充分體現了慈禧太后對書法的造詣。藏者因原有金粉脫落嚴重，在1982年將壽字表面用金粉重新整理。藏著為美國醫生，不願意透露姓名。
